2nd Annual Alameda Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival

Hālau Makana performed at South Shore Center in Alameda, Calif. on Sunday, May 20 as part of the 2nd Annual Alameda Asian Pacific Islander Cultural Festival. The hālau took center stage around 3 p.m. and students ranging from keiki to adults performed five different numbers for the crowd. The ukulele class also performed an impromptu kanikapila session at Hālau Makana’s booth, where many event-goers picked up brochures,  learned about classes offered at the studio, and competed in the hula hoop competition.
